THE SKINNY: Fiery little winger has been troubled by family problems this
season and some erratic behaviour on the ice... Got into a fight with the San
Jose Sharks mascot... Stormed off the ice with seven minutes to go in a game
after getting his third minor of the night, showered and waited on the bus
for his teammates... Was fined $1,000 for making an obscene gesture at New
York Islanders fans Jan. 22... Missed the final 20 games of last season when
he entered the league and NHLPA substance abuse program... Could be a
distraction at the Olympics if he doesn't keep tantrums in check... When he is
on his game there aren't many better at hitting holes and using his
speed... Plays much bigger than he is... Finished second in the league last
year with nine short-handed points... Holds the record for the highest
plus-minus in a single game (plus-9) set on Feb. 10, 1993... Selected 166th
overall by the Calgary Flames in 1987 draft... Won the Stanley Cup with the
Flames in 1989.
FAMOUS FOR: Being small.
INFAMOUS FOR: Big tantrums.
SHOOTOUT POTENTIAL: Is 3-0 on NHL penalty shots.
