  Natasza Zurek served notice she'll be a medal contender in the women's halfpipe at the Olympic Games. Zurek made a spectacular return to competition with a silver medal at the World Cup stop in Whistler, B.C., this past December. Last spring she tore her anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee

  Last season, Zurek won the gold medal at the World Cup stop in Salt Lake City and was also first at the U.S. Open. She was also third at the 2000 Extreme Games and registered a World Cup win in 1996.

  She injured her knee doing a table-top jump during a photo shoot. She was born in Poland and moved to Canada at age six. She was also on the 1998 Olympic team.
