Canadian Recreational Canoe Association
The Canadian Recreational Canoeing Association (CRCA) was conceived in 1971 by
a number of key individuals heavily involved in recreational canoeing. The
Association was formed as a result of the perceived need that recreational
canoeing enthusiasts from across Canada required a national body to coordinate
the efforts of those involved in non-competitive canoeing. Today, the
Association acts as the national office for ten provincial and two territorial
associations, as well as 2.3 million recreational canoeists.
