Robbie Williams new song in FIFA 2000
By RICHARD JOHN -- JAM! Showbiz
Robbie Williams seems to be going through unconventional means to release material these days.
First, there was the new track 'John's Gay', which was only available on the internet as a joint venture between Virginmega.com and a2b.
Now, there's word that Williams has just completed another new song, this time for a video game. 'It's Only Us' will feature in the forthcoming FIFA 2000 soccer simulation game from Electronic Arts.
The game, featuring in game commentary by John Motson, Chris Waddle and Mark Lawrenson will be available on Sony Playstation and PC formats is due to hit stores November 1999.
Williams joins a long list of bands to lend their material to video games. Blur and Chumbawumba both had popular songs appear in previous incarnations of the FIFA line.
For fans without a computer or Playstation, 'It's Only Us', along with 'She's The One,' will be released in October as a UK double A-side single.
'She's The One' is the fourth single from Williams' album 'I've Been Expecting You' and is also available on the North American release 'The Ego Has Landed'. The last single from the album, 'Strong' was released in the UK in March.
