The governor general will join the president of Canada Post on Friday to unveil two new stamps commemorating the upcoming wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Gov.-Gen. David Johnston and Canada Post CEO Deepak Chopra will reveal the collectors' stamps during a ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
This will be the first time Canada Post has issued a royal wedding stamp since 1948, when it commemorated the 1947 marriage of then-Princess Elizabeth -- now Queen Elizabeth II -- to Phillip Mountbatten.
Prince William and Middleton are set to marry on April 29. The newlyweds will tour Canada in late June and early July, marking their first overseas trip together as man and wife.
