Centennial College is hosting its first-ever Graduate Studies Fair on Thursday, Nov. 20. Post-diploma studies have become a large growth area for colleges, which attract university graduates looking to augment their degrees with a shorter, skills-oriented college program that emphasizes practical experience.
Centennial has established more than 20 post-diploma programs over the past decade in an attempt to serve this burgeoning market. Programs vary between four months and two years duration. Studies include environmental protection, book and magazine publishing, international business, advertising account management, e-business, critical care nursing and more.
The Graduate Studies Fair is open to all college and university graduates interested in pursuing a new career field or one related to their previous studies. The trade show-style fair opens at 9 a.m. and runs until 11 a.m. at the Student Centre at Centennial's Progress Campus (Hwy 401 and Markham Road) in Scarborough. Admission is free.
