1. What can I do if I've forgotten my Password?

Your password is completely encrypted on the Canoe system and is known only by you. If you have forgotten your password you need to reset it by visiting here.

This program will ask you 4 questions about yourself…

  1. CanoeID.
  2. Your First Name.
  3. The Valid non-canoemail Email Address you used when you created the account.
  4. Your Mothers Maiden Name.

These questions are used so the system can insure that you are the real owner of this account.

The program will also allow you to enter the password that you would like to have assigned to your account. The system is case sensitive and the password must be 5 - 10 characters in length. You must enter the password twice so that the program can verify that you have typed it correctly (because what you entered will be obscured by asterisks (*).

2. I know I have the right password, but I keep getting an error message.

The most common problem with passwords is that the system is case sensitive and the password must be entered exactly as it was entered at creation. If you entered it with a capital letter, you must continue to log in using a capital.

3. How do I sign up for a Canoemail address?

In order to get a Canoemail address, you must first get a Canoe id. To do this, visit here.

Follow the prompts to get a Canoe id and then you can proceed to a Canoemail address.

4. People tell me they are sending e-mails to me, but I don't seem to be getting them.

If you log in to your canoemail and go to "Options" you will see the option of "filters" the green filter allows you to set up your mail to only accept from senders who are on your accepted list. If they have not been added to your list, their e-mails will not be received.
