- Hailing from Montreal, Nerdy Girl is a crunch sticky indie pop quartet. Cecil's squeaky high voice has some people confused into thinking that they are always very sweet, they prefer to think their music is more like a sweet tart, underneath there is a little bite. Cecil Seaskull started Nerdy Girl as duo in February 1994 . The duo version of Nerdy Girl lasted for one year before Cecil got the urge to once again have a full band, and, in May 1995, recruited some friends.
