- The Mumble Ducks formed in 1991 and the current line-up was solidified in 1993 when Swain joined Walker and Renwick.
- Swain was formerly in the Cow-Punk-a-billy outfit Pogo Rodeo with a pre-Barenaked Tyler Stewart. This core has remained together witha Spinal-Tap like revolving cast of bass players. Don Bull of Taxi Chain and The Brothers Cosmoline currently holds down the bottom end, and Jason Wilson of Tabaruk has added keys and vocals to the line up.
- The group enjoys success on both A/C and country radio, walking that fine line that has become the ÒCanadian soundÓ. ÒNorth Channel BluesÓ charted at #51 on the RPM Top 100 Country Charts in 1995, and the video for their follow up single, ÒHarness the WindÓ was added at MUCHMUSIC and at CMT in medium rotation for 3 1/2 months. It also hit #20 in European combined charts (ECMA).
- ÓHarness the WindÓ is the lead track on their new Rodeo Records release ÒNorth of the RidgesÓ, featuring their new single and video ÒSimpler ThingsÓ. The band is now seeking management and a booking agent to play across Canada to support the record.
- Their live show is very energetic, as this is a captivating band to see - both in the music and the presentation.
