If you've ever seen them perform before, you're probably asking yourself, “who are these hot chicks that play great music?” and the answer would be Skarlet O'Hara, of course, and if you haven't seen them before... well, enough said. Skarlet O'Hara is a band of 4 girls who are known for their distinct blend of funky-acoustic rock. While it's difficult to compare their musical style to anyone else's, let it be known that these girls will make you move. With a strong, and intriguing voice, singer Marnie Pettle will catch you from the get-go. Backed with catchy guitar riffs, funky bass lines and a strong rhythm section, there's no stopping the likes of Skarlet. On stage, the girls are known to hit you with a performance that's full of energy, audience interaction and action-packed fun Skarlet O'Hara have been playing the Toronto and surrounding area music scene for four years. Their music has earned them air time and features on local radio stations CKLN 88.1 FM, CIUT 89.5 FM and CHRY 105.5 FM, as well as being featured in various film festivals for their soundtrack appearance in the indie film ‘What About Me'. Other items on the track record include first place in the Friends in the City ‘Undiscovered Out Loud' showcase in ‘98, performing as ‘Local Heroes' in the 2000 Inside-Out film festival, the Scrambled Eggs comedy show, main stage performances at Toronto's Pride festivals, and they've performed at most of Toronto's major bars and clubs. Skarlet O'Hara has also performed for a number of political and charity organizations including Riot Grrrl Toronto, AIDS benefits, Lesbian Avengers of Toronto, SOY (Supporting Our Youth), RAWA (Revolutionary Women of Afghanistan) and PAN (Parent Action Network).
