Teen's New Year's party results in police action

Free Press staff   2004-01-07 04:34:25

OPP in Elgin County say a 16-year-old youth, who organized a New Year's Eve party that got out of control at his parents' home, was made to clean debris from Imperial Road near the Vienna Line, including broken furniture and beer bottles. About 100 youths attended the party and the interior of the home was badly damaged, police said.

The boy's parents were away at the time.

An 18-year-old was charged with drinking underage and mischief after he kicked out the window of a police cruiser escorting him home.
