Thousands of terrified Uzbeks trying to flee into Kyrgyzstan burned a government building yesterday and attacked border guards in a second day of violence after a massive demonstration Friday against the iron-fisted rule of U.S.-backed President Islam Karimov reportedly resulted in hundreds of deaths.
