Born: Charlottetown, P.E.I.Residence: Calgary, Alberta Position: Driver Birthdate: 04/11/67 Height: 6'0" Weight: 216 lbs Occupation: Full-time athlete Background The two-man tandem of Pierre Lueders and Dave MacEachern had no peers on the World Cup circult last season, winning four events, a bronze and capturing the overall title. At the Nagano event, the final World Cup stop of the season, MacEachern, 30, supplied his trademark power starts in the deciding race and the dynamic duo finished the event almost a half a second ahead of the rest of the field, and that obviously bodes well for the Olympic Games. Now in his eighth season on the national team, MacEachern's power and strength will be further buoyed by his experience at Olympic Games and on the World Cup circuit. In total, the Charlottetown native has won nine gold, five silver and seven bronze at international competitions. |
