Guido Visser is the Bo Jackson of the Canadian Olympic team. Not only is he an elite cross country skier who is now headed to the Winter Olympics, but Visser is also a three-time Canadian mountain bike champion. The 27-year-old Bromont, Que., resident, was first an alpine skier but switched to cross country skiing in 1987. His goals in Nagano are a top-30 individual result and a top-eight in the relay. He completed his Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering at Universite Laval in 1996 and has started a part-time Master's degree in cooperation with Cycle Devinci, a mountain bike company. |
