Scott posts second win at nationals

CANMORE, Alta. (CP) -- Beckie Scott of Vermilion, Alta., easily won the 10-kilometre free pursuit Sunday at the Canadian cross-country ski championships.
Scott won in 27 minutes, 28.4 seconds followed by Milaine Theriault of St.-Quentin, N.B., in 29:46.1 and Edmonton's Jaime Fortier in 30:04.9.
"I was a bit lonely out there today in the lead, but it gave me the time I needed to work on my skating technique for the Olympics," said Scott, who won the five-kilometre classic on Saturday.
Donald Farley of Lorraine, Que., won the men's 15-kilometre pursuit in 37:51.6. Guido Visser of St. Ferreoi, Que., was second in 38.09.1 and Calgary's Robin McKeever was third in 38:10.0.
