Swedish women win bronze medal
KARYUIZAWA, Japan (AP) -- Swedish women captured the bronze medal in the inaugural Olympic curling tournament Saturday night.
Sweden beat Britain 10-6 to win the women's bronze.
Switzerland met Canada in the men's gold-medal match and Denmark played Canada for the women's gold.
Sweden took a 5-3 lead in the fifth end, but the British tied in the sixth.
The Swedes then put the match away with four in the seventh and stole one in the eighth.
Comprising the Swedish team were Elisabet Gustafson, Katarina Nyberg, Louise Marmont, Elisabeth Persson and Margaretha Lindahl.
