    Rebagliati's latest statement

TORONTO (CP) -- Text of a statement Thursday from Canadian snowboarder Ross Rebagliati:
Winning the gold medal for Canada has been the best moment of my life and still continues to be. Since then my life has turned into a bit of a roller coaster. I stand by my earlier statement that I have not smoked marijuana since April of 1997 and was subjected to second hand smoke at a party in January. I feel that the matter was handled properly by the authorities the first time around and I'm in total agreement with the International Olympic Committee that this is a closed case.
It has been unbelievably uplifting to know that I have the continued support of my friends and family and the Canadian Olympic Association. I'm looking forward to getting on with my life and continuing to promote snowboarding as the amazing sport that it is.
