    Canadian pair withdraws from worlds

     OTTAWA (CP) -- David Pelletier's back injury has forced him and pairs partner Jamie Sale out of the world figure skating championships, the Canadian Figure Skating Association announced Thursday.
     Pelletier, from Sayabec, Que., and Sale, from Red Deer, Alta., silver medallists at the Canadian championships, now will focus on plans for next season as Pelletier's back heals.
     Canadian bronze medallists Valerie Saurette of Granby, Que., and Jean Sebastien Fecteau of Montreal will take their place at the March 21-28 championships in Helsinki, Finland.
