Tuesday, April 14, 1998South Korea sets exhibition scheduleSEOUL (AP) -- South Korea's World Cup team will hold its final tune-up matches with Jamaica, the Czech Republic and China in Seoul in May and June.The South Koreans will play Jamaica on May 16 and 19, Czech on 27 and China on June 4. The Seoul match will also be a tune-up session for Jamaica which has qualified for this summer's World Cup finals in France. The Korean World Cup team is currently touring Europe for a series of tune-up matches. It lost 1-2 to French semi-professional St. Denis on April 6 but edged French first division runner-up Metz 2-1 on April 11. It is scheduled to play Slovakia's national team on April 15, Macedonia on April 18 and Yugoslavia on May 22. After the matches, South Korea will announce its final 22-member World Cup team. South Korea has never advanced beyond the first round in its past four World Cup appearances.
