Heaven and Earth: Art of Byzantium from Greek Collections

Wang Gongxin: Video Artist

A 20-year veteran of the video art space, Gongxin explores social issues with a light touch; three works from the major Chinese artist -- "The dinner table," "Relating - It's About YA," and "Basic Colour" -- are being made available to view for free for a five-and-a-half-month stretch at the NGV.

Caribbean: Crossroads of the World

This year includes material from the LAPD archive, plus the two public Sound and Vision programs, The Conversations and The Screenings. A separate contemporary photography fair, Photo Independent, takes place at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood at the same time.
