The V&A in London puts on a lavish display of matrimonial dressware from the last two centuries, and connoisseurs travel to New York's Randall Island Park for the Frieze Masters. In Paris, the Pompidou prepares its Martial Raysse retrospective, and Art Basel Hong Kong is set for mid-May.

With clothing from Charles James, Vivienne Westwood and Vera Wang, the V&A's exhibition has good evidence to support its claim of displaying "the most romantic, glamorous and iconic dresses from the last 200 years." Frieze Masters

The Frieze Art Fair returns to Manhattan, featuring over 190 of the world's most prestigious galleries. In addition, there are to be six commissioned artists, a wide-ranging series of lectures and talks, an education space, and three specially commissioned audio works. The citywide festival NYCxDesign runs May 9-20, with Verge Art NYC May 9-10.

Martial Raysse
