Beer plays a huge role in many Canadian’s Saint Patrick’s Day plans. While you’re dressed up in green, and donning shamrocks, why not consider adding a beer brewery tour to your festive plans. Book early as tours fill up fast and most limit the number of tours offered each day. Check out a few of these breweries across Canada from across Canada.

Granville Island Brewery, British Columbia

The Taproom offers samples from all Granville Island beers, including the latest Limited Release. You can even enjoy them with some light fare food pairings. The tour offers an up close watch through a glass wall directly into the brewery where you can catch a glimpse of Brew master Vern doing what he does best. There are three daily tours offers - noon, 2pm and 4pm until May 2014. Tours are limited to ten people and are booked on a first-come, first-served so make sure to call ahead.

Steamwhistle Brewery, Ontario

Learn how Canada's Premium Pilsner is made, meet the brewery’s friendly staff, enjoy a sample of their beer and learn how the railway history helped inform their name. Your experience includes a guided tour of the brewery, a sample of craft Pilsner and your choice of a take home souvenir or a case of beer. Reservations must be made a minimum of twelve hours in advance Monday through Thursday, and are on a first-come-first-served basis on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Brewery tours are available Tuesday through Thursday, and Saturdays with afternoon tours at 1:30 pm and more tours available in the evenings.
