Buffalo's Walden Galleria mall wants to help Canadian shoppers bid adieu to their pennies.

To mark the coin's imminent demise, the mall is holding a Penny Drop promotion. From Feb. 4 to Feb. 28, Canadians who drop pennies off at the mall's service desk, can nominate a charity to receive the money and enter a contest for the chance to win a mall gift certificate.

Coins collected will be traded in for cash and donated to one of the suggested charities.
