The panoramic mapping service has been updated to include 16 airports around the world and over 50 train stations and subway stops to make journey planning easier.
Street View is already great for taking a sneak peek at a holiday destination, be it the Great Barrier Reef or the tree-lined boulevards of Paris, but now, thanks to the addition of airports, train stations and even subways stops, users can get a feel for the journey too.
Google says that the 16 international airports and over 50 train and subway stations that can now be navigated via Street View are simply part of a first effort and we should expect more to come.
Still, as of Tuesday, holiday travelers can take a virtual tour of Madrid Barajas or Tokyo International Airport to get some sense of how far away check-in is from security, or find out how many cafes are next to platform 14 of London's Waterloo train station.
