French designer Philippe Starck has created entirely new interior spaces for the boutique design hotel La Co(o)rniche, which is set to open its doors this spring after a six-month renovation period.

The design magnate has created 18 new  guest rooms, a lobby and a wellness center for the glamorous beachside hotel, located on France's Atlantic coastline.

Taking the form of individual wooden beachfront cabins with private terraces and ocean views, each of the new guest rooms features a neutral color palette of taupes, whites, pear greys and powder pinks. Mirrors designed by Starck specifically for the hotel and fabricated by Galvolux adorn the walls while the Adjectif rugs found on each terrace add bold dashes of primary color.

The revamped living room channels an eclectic theme, with chic camel Rosello sofas and armchairs complemented by neutral-colored coffee tables. The effect is offset by flashes of color provided by Tom Dixon stools, mismatched cushions and a loud checkered EGE carpet. Metal bar stools and industrial-looking lighting keep the space contemporary.

Starck also had a hand in the development of the hotel's Carita Wellness Center, designing a storage system, mirrors and a nail bar unit for the space. The addition of Chilewitch carpets and Flos lighting completes the look.

An updated in-house concept store offering a carefully curated selection of cosmetics, fashion items and accessories complete La Co(o)rniche's makeover. The hotel is set to re-open on April 1, 2014.
