A Danish travel agency is encouraging people to go on vacation to boost Denmark's birth rate.
Travel company Spies says Denmark is "facing a crisis" with the lowest birth rate in 27 years. Polls have found people are more likely to have sex while on vacation, so the company says people need to take time off "to save the future of Denmark."
As part of the Do It For Denmark campaign, wannabe parents need to book their trip through Spies, then send a picture of a positive pregnancy test and medical records proving the baby was conceived on vacation to be entered into a draw to win three years of diapers, a stroller and a relaxing family holiday.
The company is also offering an "ovulation discount" for travellers, and a calculator app helps pinpoint a woman's most fertile days. The website also posted some tips on how to get pregnant, including telling men to avoid tight pants "even if you think it looks good" and "do not forget to have sex - with no protection."
