What we record
When you use a page — the first time you scroll, move the mouse, tap or press a key — your browser sends us a visit record:
- the page and the page you came from;
- your IP address, and the country, region, city and network that our hosting provider derives from it;
- your browser’s user agent and language;
- browser characteristics: screen size, time zone, number of processor cores, memory class, touch support, colour depth, platform, whether cookies are enabled and whether the browser reports that it is automated — and a short code computed from them.
When you click a link to a casino, we record the same details together with the link and its place on the page.
Pages that are only loaded and never used are not recorded.
Why
To count real visitors and clicks, to tell people from automated traffic, and to see which pages and positions lead to sign-ups with the casinos we work with.
Cookies
Canoe.ca does not set cookies. A casino you visit through our links sets its own cookies under its own policy.
Who receives it
The records are stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare. When you follow a link to a casino, the casino’s affiliate programme receives a click code showing which of our pages and positions you came from — not your IP address or browser details.
How long we keep it and your rights
We keep the records while we need them to measure the site. You can ask us what we hold about your IP address, and ask us to correct or delete it, at hello@canoe.ca.
Age
Canoe.ca is for adults: 19+, or 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.
